Piano lessons
We offer piano lessons in the center of Utrecht. We are located on the Gruttersdijk in a beautiful music studio. The lessons are suitable for everyone. You can come to us if you are 7 years old or older, whether you are a beginner or an advanced pianist. We teach piano in all common styles. At Muziekschool Robin, we work with well-trained teachers who are at the heart of the music world. Together, we assess where you stand and create a plan to help you develop further and achieve your goals.
The content of the lessons is determined by your starting level. We welcome absolute beginners as well as experienced or very advanced pianists. We focus on important topics including: note reading, posture, accompaniment, chord knowledge, scales, and technical exercises. In addition, there is naturally plenty of room for playing songs and pieces in all common styles such as classical, pop, jazz, and blues. Having fun playing the piano and developing your musicality are our top priorities!
If you are already somewhat advanced as a pianist, you can also come to us to delve deeper into subjects such as improvisation, solfège (ear training), and theoretical knowledge. All of this can greatly contribute to your musical development and enjoyment of playing!
If you are preparing for a performance or, for example, want to audition at a conservatory, we can help you with that. Our teachers have all performed frequently and have a background in music. Therefore, they know better than anyone what is required and what you can expect. Together with you, we assess where you have come and draw up a realistic and achievable plan to reach your goals.
I believe in using the entire piano as a single instrument capable of expressing every possible musical idea.
