Erik Köhl

Erik Köhl has been a drum teacher at the drum school since September 2024. He is originally from Sweden and moved to the Netherlands to study at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. After four years of study, he decided to stay and work in the Netherlands.

Erik has been playing the drums since he was seven, when he first sat behind a drum kit at his mother’s workplace. He taught himself until he was sixteen; after that, he took drum lessons and began to explore music more seriously. In Sweden, he completed a preparatory course in jazz drums, after which he continued his studies at the conservatoire.

As well as teaching, Erik is active as a performing musician in various jazz and pop projects. With these projects, he performs regularly throughout the Netherlands and Europe.

Erik teaches on Thursdays and Fridays.
