Ben Tupper

Ben Tupper started playing the drums at the age of 11, taking lessons from former Anti-Nowhere League drummer Dave Hazlewood and performing in various DIY bands throughout his teens.

Originally from the UK, Ben moved to Amsterdam in 2018 and currently studies under André Groen and Joost Kesselaar in the Jazz & Pop department at Utrechts Conservatorium.

Formerly a student of Drumschool Robin, Ben became a drum teacher at the school in 2023 and since then has enjoyed teaching students across a broad range of ages and experience levels. His teaching approach combines structured technical training with creative exploration, making lessons enjoyable, educational and rewarding.

Outside of teaching Ben is a performing musician, producer and sound designer working with other practitioners both in the Netherlands and internationally.

Ben teaches on Saturdays.
