Bas Bouma

Bas Bouma is an experienced drummer and teacher who has been teaching at Muziekschool Robin since September 2025. He is active in the Dutch music scene and performs as the drummer for Michelle David, with whom he regularly appears on stages across the Netherlands and internationally.

Over the years, Bas has developed a broad musical foundation, with influences from soul, funk, gospel, and pop. His playing is characterised by strong groove, musicality, and a solid sense of timing and interaction.

As a teacher, Bas focuses on building a strong technical foundation combined with musical awareness and enjoyment in playing. His lessons place a strong emphasis on groove, timing, and listening, encouraging students to develop both technically and musically. Lessons are tailored to the level and goals of each student, making them accessible and challenging for both beginners and more advanced players.

Alongside teaching, Bas is active as a performing musician, working with various artists and projects. His live experience and practical knowledge make him an inspiring and committed teacher.

Bas teaches on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
